Do anyone know what you get in the standard edition? Will you get a map like in the collectors edition?

cddiski.ru seems to offer russian language only versions and VPN activation (not steam activation), very confusing. I would say: hands off.

It makes no sense, since it has been said several times that from the Empire, there is no region-lock ...

    In #1:

Does it matter where I purchase the game?
Rome II is not region-bound, so you will be able to play the game from anywhere (no matter where you originally purchase it from)

If I buy the game from a foreign country, how will I know what language the game will come in?
Rome II keys are bound to Steam, and since TW:R2 is multi-language, you can change the language at any time in the properties menu from within the Steam client.

no there is no region lock, I have not said this. I said there are versions around that are not multilanguage and they describe on their shop pages you need a VPN to activate.
I can only repeat what the shop and users say in particular to Rome 2.

Is there no heed to what they say the stores, they get a few games, and say their games are only for CIS countries, nothing more ... in the case of Total War, different. From the Empire (including napoleon, shogun 2 and therefore Rome2) has no region-lock. And at # 1 makes it quite clear that activate the key in Steam is multilingual.

well I do not want to go in a fight. I cannot show you what I meant because the "suspicious" offers (russian only / VPN) around the sites are not longer there. revoke post #528

Also, your post at #528 makes no sense, because you say it's not for Steam, but that is activatable VPN ... Where is the logic?. Now at first, the Shogun 2 is just Steamworks.

I do not want a war, just I debate with you.

to clear it: there were Rome 2 copies declared as "russian only / VPN activated" so not via Steam. This was a doubtful stuff I've seen on ru sites but also on other ones for a while.
    Currently these have been removed.

Sure, it does not make sense ... Shogun 2 is a Steamworks, can only play Through Steam.

I don't recommend you to buy any Russia key if you stay in Europe. It may need VPN to activate, and to the worst, every time you play steam "may" check your IP and say "This game is locked in your region... blah blah....".
This happen to some steam games in China if i remember correctly.
Steam developers are smart. They can do whatever they like to protect their business. Don't take risk . Unless you have spare money to try. ^_^

But let's see ... has said several times that there are versions from Empire Total War not contains region-lock, no? Then why say you need VPN?

Crusader I do not like your drive. You either ignore or cannot understand my writings. There were VPN activated STEAM keys only with NO MULTILANGUAGE SUPPORT (russian language only) on several russian sites, including the named.

Meanwhile they have been removed. This has NOTHING to do with region lock. For god sake please stop discussion.

Finally available to be ordered in Malaysia. Much cheaper than I expected (MYR 159 instead of MYR 180). Actually I still have Gamer's Point there which I can use to reduce the price to MYR 139.

    https://www.tsb.com.my/product.cfm?id=653&cid=0

Retail only and don't have Greek DLC.

    MYR 159 / EUR 36.11 / AUD 53.16 / USD 48.20 / GBP 30.80

Well, yet another confirmation that iHeo is Legit. Got the game in my Steam library less than a minute since i made the payment.

The price was 34 usd plus a 0.17 usd fee from paypal (because i used my bank account to pay, if you use a credit card its around 1'60 bucks or something, i cant remember). The cost in euros was 26,40 €.

Take into account that if you don't have your bank account confirmed, Paypal requires 2-3 days to do so (althought for me it took just one).

edit: for some reason not a dime has yet been charged on my bank account, i guess Paypal takes it's time.

    I also pre-ordered it via http://www.nuuvem.com.br/produto/1213-total-war-rome-ii
Registration takes 1 minute. Be sure to pick PayPal and another 30 seconds later you're done. Site only has positive reviews from what I researched on google.
The offer does include the Greek DLC and cost me only 25 Euro today.

Edit: The site is in Portuguese, but that language is close enough to English. Didn't cause me any trouble.
Contrary to what some Google source say, you don't need a proxy. Just register and checkout via PayPal, that's it.
