Concerning Region Locks: Click here for more and here for more info. Does it matter where I purchase the game? Rome II is not region-bound, so you will be able to play the game from anywhere (no matter where you originally purchase it from) If I buy the game from a foreign country, how will I know what language the game will come in? Rome II keys are bound to Steam, and since TW:R2 is multi-language, you can change the language at any time in the properties menu from within the Steam client.

I saw some posts concerning the price of pre-ordering Rome II, and it seems the prices vary greatly from region to region, making it quite hard to tell if you are getting a good deal So, starting now, let us as a community comb the interwebs for the best deals on pre-ordering this awesome game! I know in some places in Europe you can pre-order the game for under $45, but that doesn't help the people living in Australia, or those of us in the U.S. -Edit: I added a section for best "World-wide" price, and also a section for best Regional prices. If you know of some good deals in your area, feel free to post it! -Product must be the "full version"... e.g. you can pre-order Rome II quite cheaply in some online stores, but you may not get the Greek Cultures pack. They changed the price on steam today from £45 to £30. Outside of steam it's roughly about £30 in the UK so it seems totally reasonable now I think, at least in the UK region.

I know in some places in Europe you can pre-order the game for under $45, but that doesn't help the people living in Australia, or those of us in the U.S.

for the email copy, you're right it doesn't matter. For the physical copy, I can only assume they would ship internationally, as they ARE shipping internationally in order to get it to their Australian customers!

There are 2 versions, the online code OR the physical copy. I honestly see no need for the physical copy, since you will be activating the game via Steam anyways.
If you choose the online code, they will email you the code.
If you choose the physical copy, they will ship it to you.

If I remember correctly, I think you can actually cancel your pre-orders on Steam. I'm not completely sure though.

Don't you have to pay in full ? If I'm not mistaken only retails that you can cancel preorder since you only paid some deposits. From what I see all other sites that sell only codes charged in full. At least as far as I'm aware of.

That is why I did not post the link to the physical copy (selling for $46).
The online code (where they email you the code - $40.59) is worldwide. That is the only link I put in the OP.

Hmm, it's worth a try. Worst thing that can happen is that you can't register, and you'll have to settle for the other options (I have links to other good websites in the OP).
Just remember that if it DOES let you register, don't have them mail you the physical copy to that address
