With your post count, use "Go Advanced" and the paperclip icon to attach it.

Re: Shogun 2 total war crashes
For 32bit, if you own the retail version of Win 7, I strongly suggest you do a fresh install with the 64bit win 7 Install disc.
Otherwise, http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...uot-workaround will be needed.
A free copy of Game Booster will work wonders.
You should have at least 20gb of free disc space on C: drive for this game a swapfile. 1.6gb free will only cause problems including crashes.
Also, try playing on dx9. The GT 430 card even with 2gb vram is not cut out for heavy 3D gaming.

Re: Shogun 2 total war crashes
It may not but it will help. The game needs at least that much room to switch out files between scenes, units, textures,, maps, what-have-you.
One player had to go to 37gb to get his stable.
If you don't do MadBoris' workaround, you will run out of ram first.

Re: Shogun 2 total war crashes
My copy of Shogun2 is on D: but the game still uses C: for its swapfile. Blame CA for programming it this way.

Re: Shogun 2 total war crashes
I used MadBoris before I bought 64bit and it does help but not a cure all.
Backup the file before editing it. That way if something goes wrong you can restore it. Since I'm about 10 or 11 timezones west of you, you will have to do it.
