When trying to play a Date campaign it doesn't have any of the new provinces and it crashes when it tries to load the campaign
    If you don't edit the startpos correctly TWS2 will use the vanilla version, so that would explain why the new regions are missing. To fix this problem I recommend the following.

    1) Make a mod and check that the new buildings work correctly.
    2) Try adding one new building to my startpos. If this building doesn't work try adding a different one to the same region. In ETW the buildings were assigned a specific type in the CAI_World building_slot information, so you couldn't simply turn one building type into another building type. It's possible that something similar exists in TWS2.

    Below is how the building types were classified in ETW. I recommend only trying to turn a building into another type of the same building. For example don't turn a building that produces the trade resource iron into a building that doesn't produce a trade resource.

    0 = settlement building
    1 = road or fortification
    2 = town
    3 = port
    4 = non-trade resource building (iron, gold, gems)
    5 = farm
    6 = single trade resource building (timber, fur)
    7 = multiple trade resource building (sugar or coffee, cotton or sugar)

    Why don't you add the island provinces of Japan into your mod?

    Well, I had it working 100% with a vanilla startpos. I'm assuming I made a mistake when editing the startpos and I'm gonna start over fresh with it when I'm finished making unit icons tonight. I'd also like to ask if it would be okay if I released my mod with an optional startpos compatible with your mod

    Most island are so small that Bob won't turn them into regions. I'm currently testing whether Goto and Tsushima can be made playable.

    Awaji, Sado, Tsushima, Oki, Iki, and Amakusa were the only minor Japanese islands to be considered provinces back then
    But of course you could go ahead and add Goto Island, Tanegeshima, Yakunoshima, Takamatsu, and Oshima.

    ^Speaking of that map, why don't you add the small provinces of Shima and the second Awa depicted there?

    Only Goto and Tsushima can be added. For some reason Bob won't allow the other islands (they may be too small). It's odd that Bob doesn't allow Amakusa to be made into a region.

    I didn't add Shima and Awa because they're very small, I know nothing about them, and the area they're located is entirely covered by impassable mountains in the vanilla version.

    Very cool. Amakusa is exactly involved in an idea i once had. A new province in kyushu. Shimara province. I mean not only the island but it and Shimabara peninsula. The cool about this is that it should be a strong Christian province. ruled directly by Hara castle. Something about the Shimabara Rebellion or that at least would lead to it in the course of the campaign. I mean i always feel as The Shimabara Rebellion is an episode missing on this game. Congratulations Nice work dude.

    I don't know if it's this mod causing the bug, but all impassable mountains, rivers, and other terrain is now passable. It's kinda cool but also kinda confusing

    I am also experiencing some oddities regarding campaign movement, larges of amount of impassable terrain have become passable. Maybe a small bug from making Hokkaido traverse-able.

    Amazing tutorials and mod btw uanime5, finally Date doesn't have to travel half the map to capture 10 settlements. The Map feels balanced now.

    PS. Would it be possible/except-able to upload your edited CS2 files so that other could tweak this marvelous modification to there own preferences?

    Subscribed and the game always fails in downloading it.

    Got any tips? =)

    Large amounts of impassable terrain is passable because I made a mistake when exporting the mountain.CS2. I plan to fix this in the next version.

    I can upload the CS2 files but they're almost impossible to modify. I'm guessing you want me to upload the 3DS Max file, which you can modify. Though you'd also need all the XML files from Tweak (unless you want to manually add all the new regions and factions). I don't have any objections to doing this but I'm currently adding more regions so I won't release them until the next version is finished. That's assuming anyone wants these files.

    I'm not sure why you're having this problem. This is the first mod I've put on Steam so I don't know what the cause could be.

    Update: in the next update I plan to add 17 new regions and 12 new clans. So far I managed to add the regions; then made some changes and now I can't make the startpos anymore. So until I can figure out what error I've made I don't know how long it will take to release the next version.

    Hey man great mod, I came across this map while surfing the interwebs, not sure if this is all too helpful but here it is http://www.maproom.org/00/05/0002.jpg. Really like the additional provinces in eastern Honshu and Hokkaido, really balances the map a lot.

    p.s. is this mod compatible with the extended victory condition mods? If not could it be possible for you to extend it? Thanks in advance

    This mod isn't compatible with the extended victory condition mods because both mods involve a new startpos. Since I don't know how to update a campaign so it lasts longer I can't extend a campaign.

    Ichijo
    Kyosuke
    Tachibana
    Motoyama
    Rokkaku
    Ryuzoji

    Here's a list of new regions:
    jap_goto
    jap_tsushima
    jap_south_hyuga
    jap_tachibana
    jap_uwa
    jap_nakamura
    jap_agawa
    jap_north_omi
    jap_nagashima
    jap_osaka

    jap_koga
    jap_chiisagata
    jap_kawanakajima
    jap_osato
    jap_north_musashi
    jap_south_chikuzen

    Since I've managed to fix the bug that prevented me making a new startpos I should be able to release the new version soon.

    If you want I could help you extend the campaign or add 12 turns per year

    I figured out how to extend a campaign while I was trying to get Otomo's victory conditions to work. I would be interested in knowing how to increase the number of turns per year, though I'm unsure whether it needs to be increased. It will depend upon how easy it is to meet the victory conditions during the time limit.

    The turns per year are just as easy as extending the campaign. under campaign calender where it says 4, just change that to change the turns per year. I don't know how to do that with the assembly kit, but I'm sure it's just as simple
