Problems with machinima.

Hey,

I am aspiring to make Medieval 2 total war machinimas, however I ran into a few problems with the cin-edit, the game would not save battle replays into the replay folder (or anywhere else). To fix the problem I tried to patch the game to its latest version (starting at 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 etc.). But, the problem I am running into now is the 1.2 patch won't install, it gives an error message saying I don't have Medieval installed. Is there a way to fix this, or to get a free camera mode in the game itself? If I could get a free camera mode then I could simply use Fraps to record the replay as it is happening.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Do a clean install and use only 1.2 and 1.3 patches. 1.1 patch was borked when released.

This didn't resolve my problem, I don't have a cameras folder or a replays folder, do I just create them or is there another way to fix it.
