Error code for RtR

Hi i just installed Rome total war then 1.3 then 1.5 then RtR 6.0 thn the 6.2 patch then the music adon i start up the game to find this error message

what does that mean??? anyhelp would be nice

THats because RTR 6 and 6.2 are both for 1.2 of rome, you need to use RTR Platinum 1.6 if you are to play it on 1.5, (this is an unofficial port of RTR onto the 1.5 engine) there are no real differences apart from the obvious tweeks that come with 1.5 such as night battles and better AI etc.

Hi, RTR 6.0, 6.1, 6.2, 6.3 and Gold are for Rome Total War 1.2.

RTR Platinum edition is for Rome Total War patched to 1.5

I would downlaod and install Platinum 1.4 then Platinum 1.6, if you still have trouble post

i installed platnium...and got the same error....

one thing i noticed i NEVER had this issue before but NO movies for RTW or BI play meaning no begining movies not even the activision logo thing...could this be part of the issue i double check and they are all there its just tht i cant play them

ok i understnaf that i didnt just intall it over gold i re-did the entire thing again and i still get this damn error...anywho does it have anything to do wiht that movie thing?

Did you followed the guide I told you about? How did you install it? Tell me that in steps:
1.
2.
3.
and so on

RTR 6.0 Gold is the latest RTR release for RTW 1.2. You do not install any 6.x patch after it

Reinstall RTW. Patch to 1.5. Install RTRPE. It will work. Installing RTR PE over RTR Gold won't work.

You have 4 post here. I have over 300 and they are almost all tech support. Big contribution to the community that comes from my time. This means that I spent my time trying to help people without getting paid or anything. More over, if "time is money" then I lose money doing this. @Tinygnome I do appreciate that you did not insult me over this. I`m, refering to your repply. You did insulted the work I do and the guides, but you gave me a second answer that was far more balanced. I hope you can understand why I got so upset and I`m also sorry for reacting like that, but I hope that you can see that after doing what I do it can be very upseting to recieve a post like that. Thanks!

Edit: sorry for the typos, but this kind of attacks really affected me. I thought that people will be grateful for what I do or even indifferent to it, but this..... I did not expect it.
Edit#2: Sorry I got involved into this(the dispute I mean)! I probable needed to find out that things like this do happen and whether or not I will be giving tech support in the future, I will really try to ignore these kinds of things and not put gas over fire.

@Florin: dont make matters worse, when it comes right down to it that was flaming...

From my point of view this problem is closed. Now, I only wait for those people involved to see it and then I`ll close it as the problem(the technical one) is solved. I`ll await for them to see it and say it`s over and I can close it so it won`t look like I`m abusing my powers by closing it without leting them speak their mind. I do wonder though (and I`m not trying to start anything) if I would have not responded to that if anyone else would have taken my side by defending me(in a civilized and constructive way I mean).
Now, I`ll await to see if anything else results from this like wornings and such(for me I mean) and then I`ll see what I`ll do with my presence here. I do feel sorry for responding to his post, but I also think that I should be protected by attacks, and if that doesn`t happen and so far it didn`t and I`m the one that`s criticized for my first reply to him, then I won`t spend my time doing tech support. I do like being on the twc forums, but I do see now that exposure means exposure and maybe I should just stay calm here, post once a month and await for the mods to come out without any implication. It`s not that I`m trying to frighten you with leaving. I`ll stay if I`m allowed to. It`s just that I realized that there is also that way. Until now I felt it as an obligation to help around and expected people not to laugh at me for doing it. There are better things to do then trying to help around and being insulted for it. I didn`t mean to insult anyone with this new post, I didn`t mean to put gas on the fire and I`m confident I didn`t and I`m sorry if somehow anybody felt insulted by it and I do want to get over this.
