Got a launch problem

I'v been playing Stainless Steel 6.4 for some time now, and wanted to play again today. However, when i start it, it keeps bringing me to the Medieval 2 launcher. It used to just start Stainless steel, when i try to start SS through the mw2 launcher, it tells me an fatal error occured and closes. I don't get how this happened, it worked just fine the last time i played. I have tried reinstalling it 3 times now, running it as administrator etc.. I can't figure out how this happened and how to fix it

Well i tried copying the medieval 2 folder, into my game folder instead of steam folder. And then reinstalling SS there, but now i got an application error 2:0000065558 or something :/

Did steam recently update? like as in on the 6th? If so....send a message to steam. If not post back here.
