    Default Shogun 2's UI

Hey, with Rome 2 coming out soon I really think they should follow the UI and menus of S2. I think S2 has some of the best and nicest looking menus I have ever seen for a game. The cinematic in the background is great, all the icons are good and follow the theme well. It is also really well laid out and simple for example the starting screen is great. It sets everything out really nicely and doesnt clog your screen up.

Obviously it isnt a huge feature but it would be nice if they followed the ideas of S2

I hope they drop the encyclopedia as a primary means of learning.
It's good in theory but bad in practise.

A comprehensive PDF would be far better for digitally downloaded games.

I quite like the encyclopedia, its pretty easy to use and can come in handy sometimes.

For Rome 2 they should make the controls clearer, because in S2 some of the hotkeys arent very clear and are hard to discover

I like them too, but hope that we will be able to use the keyboard as well to make navigation faster.

If they make a slightly faster encyclopedia that has a different theme so it's easier to read and navigate I'm all for keeping it going in Rome 2 and future projects.

The encyclopedia is ok, don't get me wrong, and I do hope they keep it.

But in practise it's clunky and slow to use as a primary source during the learning phases of the game.
