How unique will every major faction be? Bureaucratic states vs tributary empires

Other than the fact that different factions will have different bonuses, I really hope that Rome II will depict every major faction differently. A monarchy/feudal empire/kingdom like Persia should function differently from a Republican state like Rome. You should have the ability to manage every major faction in such a different manner that makes the game much more immersive.

The Parthians would have to contend with powerful families that can depose the king with their own private lands and armies. The vassals should have the ability to wage war among themselves if the king cannot rein them in. This cannot be easily represented through bonuses or having unique buildings.

Inheritance should also play a huge factor in making different factions unique. Some factions should be allowed to appoint governors if they have a strong bureaucracy, while other state might have to give up entire provinces to their vassals. Such satraps would be inheritable while a governorship isn't.

I do hope we will get to see the uniqueness of every faction, beyond having different units and different bonuses.

Agreed, Empire and shogun 2 were boring in this regards. Empire even though there were different governments this never played a major role from what i remember, and shogun 2 they were all pretty much the same set up no matter which faction u pick. Hoping with CAs promise of three different family's for each faction will change things up. I love nothing better than fighting civil wars and crushing up risings

Also another cool option would be to bribe other faction family's to over throw the current government in the hopes that they are more friendly towards u
