Anyway, as you can see I'm playing Medieval II: Total War as England. But I've also got Stainless Steel, of course. I've tried to mix it up a bit with some animation detailing the history of England prior to 1100AD.
Maybe you'll like it? See for yourself.

The first episode is live here:

There should be more soon. Soonish?
    Thanks for taking a gander

nice video. i liked your "history bomb" and lastly welcome to the forums!
It's not a question of where it grips it. It's a simple questions of weight ratios; a five ounce bird could not carry a one pound coconut.

Thanks :]. I thought I had had an account here since I've read so many things on these forums but apparently not. Now I seem terribly new, haha! Anything you think I could improve on?

I liked this, had to check out the first part. Especially good that you chose to play as England as that is my current campaign ( Late Era though ) and the faction I play most of the time.

I loved the History intersections, so I hope to see more of those

I should be able to enjoy these from work when I long to play! Subbed.

Also, is there a quick way of making the amount of soldiers in a unit bigger? Can't be bothered to change each and every unit in the descr-files.

Also could you post what pre-sets you're using? All I know is that you don't have permanent watchtowers and that you play in the early era.

I'm very pleased you liked it, and thanks for the sub! Always appreciated.
As far as I know the only way to make units larger is to do it through the menus (Small, Medium, Huge, etc.) or alter the files directly either via mods or by hand. I'm not really that well-read when it comes to modding though, so don't quote me on that.
Uh as far as presets go I'm using the Savage AI. I'm not using Byg's GR II or IV. I have played campaigns with it before, and while I liked a lot of what was done, I just found that the sub-mod was not transparent enough in what it changed, and just frustrated me more than I had fun with it. I have everything unticked save for permanent arrows. And yes, it's an Early Campaign, as you mentioned.
If many of you haven't noticed yet, I'm doing this more for the entertainment factor than anything. I'm not incredibly hardcore, thus the mild difficulties and lack of GBR II or IV. There are others out there far better at TW than I so I'd rather have fun with the game and my viewers rather than struggle against stupidly weighted odds. Perhaps I can teach some people some simple things as well.

I only ever intended to do one for the beginning of this series, as well as others if need be. Games that don't give a great indication as to the state of the realm prior to the game starting are prime for this. (Here's looking at you, Crusader Kings II.) If there's interest I could do more for just random events in time, such as crusades or wars, or battles. The only issue I have with it is that those animations wouldn't really be relevant to the timeline or narrative we're building in the LP, if that makes sense. I'd be all over it if there were enough demand though, just tell me what you guys want!

I prefer that, it's easier to relate to than someone who has everything under control. I would count myself as a "pro" when it comes to this game though but only cause I've sunk 500 hours into it so I know how to exploit the idiocy of the AI. Keep the vids coming!

I too have more than a few hundred hours in the series. I've done my share of VH/VH campaigns, and I find I just have more fun when it's milder. It's also easier to connect with people in-game and create characters from them a la Giles the Bulldog of the Sea. It's more entertaining I feel, albeit in a different way.

I will continue to pump out the vids, although I do apologise for the infrequent uploads. Can't be helped, I'm afraid.
