Crash a few seconds during loading a battle

Alright so i played total war shogun 2 just fine some time ago but now when ever i start a battle about 3 seconds into the loading screen my game stops responding.

Have you ever installed any mods?

I did install a few mods but i deleted them and it still does not work i tried reinstalling but still nothing

Then delete the scripts folder and verify the game cache.

It didn't help my game continues to crash when loading a battle note that it didn't happen before its new

Does it do it if you start a new campaign?

Yes it does, even in multiplayer, historical battles, custom battles it just doesn't let me play battles though on the map it works perfect i can do auto resolve but if i do that all the time then i miss out the entire game

When was the last time you vleaned out the case?
When was the last time you ran disk cleanup and did a deep defrag?

I just tried it out still no luck, its really weird since it worked some time ago but it suddenly stopped

Have you done a deep virus scan lately?

Yes no viruses were detected, I use AVG Internet Security

Do you realize Steam and AVG are not friends? It's on their list of conflicting software.
AVG in 2011 1nd 2012 was throwing false-positives on the disc version of kingdoms.exe on multiplayers. Not good when you're trying to fight a battle online.
I have no trouble with Steam and Microsoft Security Essentials.

Well i turned AVG off and disabled my firewall but still there is no change... sadly..

I turned off AVG and disabled my firewall but still there is no change, same error.. the game stops responding about 3 seconds into loading screen of battle it doesn't matter if its multiplayer or singleplayer after a few seconds it just stops responding.

Uninstall AVG and use Avira (free) or even Microsoft Security Essentials.

Avg you have to uninstall to get this to work. Disabling it has proven to be a bad joke.

Okay so i uninstalled AVG I am now using Avira yet that did not fix the problem
