Launcher steam issue.

Hi first of all this is a great mod so rep to all those involved in the making of this mod.

Although I have a slight problem, I can't play RSII campaign. I can play custom/historical battles but then I have to go through steam and start up the regular Rome Total War: Gold Edition. Whenever i try to go through the launcher it just stops working, before I had some errors popping up but I reinstalled RSII according to steam installation instruktions. More specific on what is wrong: Whenever I've choosen a faction to play with and selected RomeTW.exe I click play. At that moment i can't click play or close the launcher and nothing happens, ive looked if some background process is running but there's none. I've basically tried everything my insufficient skills of installing can do. If anyone here on twcenter could help i twould be awesome

Try using the batch file in your main directory.

In the 'game' folder where the exes live.

They will have a 'bat' file extension - which you will see if you've not hidden file extensions of known file types (in your Windows Folder options).

I found the batch files but when I try and start it now, it says 'Failed to find steam'

Well, got the same Error, when starting ROme via Steam Libary its starts RS2 Multiplayer/Batlles. Starting the Launcher (desktop/rome folder) results in : "Failed to find steam"
Wasnt there a launchoption command which one could be used for campaign ?

Also got this problem, the only way i think to resolve this is to patch rs2.5b in the steam main folder of rome total war

I played RS 2.1 on steam but haven't since then, if you have the extra money and really want to play this wonderful version, buy Rome TW here (http://www.gamersgate.com/DDB-ROMETW...lection-bundle).

It has Rome and all of her expansions, it downloads very quickly (for me it was 6 Mb/s), and will give you absolutely none of the problems you get with steam. You can re-download it when ever you want, and even download it and use it on multiple computers. For example, i bought one copy and now my two brothers have it (for their computers) without buying two more copies.

Ok so if you buy it at there you dont need steam?
