Error report after trying to download RS 2.5 with Launcher

Followed the instructions and got this error report when I tried to start the game. I tried reading through the stickies, but I didn't see anything that related to the 2.5/launcher combo. Thanks in advance for the help!

Error1/3=You don't have Roma Surrectum II installed in the correct folder. (C:\Rome\Rome - Total War)
Error2/3=Engine: RomeTW-ALX.exe, Faction campaign: -mod:play_capua
Error3/3=In total: 'RomeTW-ALX.exe -mod:play_capua -show_err'

Are you using steam? what version of RTW do you use , RTW, BI, Alex?

I do not use steam and my version is RTW.

You can only use the R:TW Alex exe if you have it installed (the same with R:TW BI).

From your post it seems as if you've only got R:TW installed. Your screen shot only shows the R:TW exe.

So how would one go about using R: TW ... or do I need Alex? Sorry if I am a bit slow; this is all new stuff to me.

There is a drop down box on the launcher that allows you to select the exe that you want to use.

You can play this mod just with R:TW - no need for R:TW BI or R:TW Alex (many players find the AI better with each of the expansions).

Well don't I feel stupid? haha Thanks! That seemed to do the trick. I tried starting a game, but it asked me to "please select item from list" --there's no list to select from. I tried looking to see if this problem has happened before, but all I got was from RSI and the problem there was R:TW not being patched to 1.5. My version is patched, so I am not sure what the problem might be. Thanks!

Unfortunately, the last two screens don't show despite them being in imageshack like the first one. The text should exlain what is happening.

The only way to make sure that your game is patched is to look on the top right hand corner of the options menu - that is the real version of the game.
