    A thing that would be more realistic that you should put in future verisions is that after you win a battle depending if it“s a total victory or not you should get money like for looting a city. If you read history you can se again and again that victorius generals made loads off money from either selling captive soldiers (and even their families who were often followers in the camp)as slaves or concuring the enemie war chest that often was huge.

    Pretty sure that's not something modders can add in. Hardcoded stuff.

    But if you fight a battle that the city garrison is in, and beat it, you take the city and have the option to exterminate the city.
    I shouldn't have to live in a world where all the good points are horrible ones.

    AFAIK it could be done, actually, and we were discussing something along these lines, but adding new traits of this sort causes all new potential bugs and ctds to appear, so we'd rather concentrate on fixing things than adding new ones.

    Its a good idea and i think it could be implemented through traits, scripts ect but it would generate lots of CTDs and push 0.8 development back further...

    But perhaps for 0.9??

    Having something to represent the capture of the enemy's baggage train could be cool.

    But this will be worked on AFTER 0.8

    Enslavement itself generates money during the longterm, which in a way simulates what generals would do.

    In settlements, but what about a mayor pitched battle?

    That is true, pitched battles are generally unaccounted for. I doubt you could make people gain money after every field battle, if anything because of hard-coding. If not, then of course the CTD's come into play.

    I think it's a good idea, sure, but I believe i'd rather wait awhile for it.

    Yeah! I don't think it is hard coded... but it would be a difficult thing to balance with economy and all... CTDs are a real problem every time we try to change something in the game but, it is really an interesting idea, and a historical one too.
