    Default retrievable standards

Ok I think its a cool feature to have legion traditions or so,
but they also spoke about how these same stats would be kept throughout history for that legion...

I think this is a bit absurd, the tenth legion could hardly be characterized the same way during a course of 200 years? Yes, traditions come, but traditions also go

also, if we think of troops as legions, i think the standards or eagles of them should be really important. A legion should not be able to be rebuilt if they lost their standards, or if they are they should loose some or alot of their traditions

i really hope that legions gets traits based on their actions in addition to the ones we chose, both bad and good habits

like one legion being infamous for being brutal, but it also gets higher loot income

    just some ideas

Well in answer to the tradition thing, just as they said traditions live on even if a legion is decimated. Just as today, if a company is destroyed their traditions live on through other companies or regiments. I don't think it's absurd at all.

The retrieval of traditions is good imo. In Shogun I always leveled up my generals the same, and the whole skill tree felt silly and uninteresting. The downside of loosing the legion is that your units will be fresh and have no experience, so you'd still be very careful with that favorite army of yours. It's also true that traditions goes, i don't know how they will, or if they will, solve that.

This sounds like a good idea.

    Yeah, I'm with you.

In general, I hope that army evolving, looks and stats are more based on own decisions and skills, not only by mathematical numbers and chosen buffs.
When I lead an army which has fought numerous battles in which it killed almost every routing unit it should become the trait of a "Chaser" or something like that. A legion which is famous for its merciless (always erasing the population of conquered cities and so on) should become the (or one) subtitle "merciless"/"brutal" etc.

if when you lose an entire army you lose one or a few tradition levels I would be fine with it

Agree, also agree with all traditions shouldn't have positive effect, some should have both others just negative. I know ppl will say then y even select it then, well to be able to select the next tradition. Say a tradition gives you +10% revolt in foreign province the next tradition then adds +10 suppression in home province. Or something like that anyway.

One tradition could give both something good and something bad, its 2 upgrades would make the good thing better and the bad thing worse. So you could have "aggresive behavior" meaning +2 charge but -1 melee defense, wich upgrades to +4 charge and -2 melee defense and finally +8 charge and -3 melee defense. I think this would make more sense
