this is a thread that will hopefully stand out from all the whining about not seeing the campaign map in rally point 13

Although i am also a little sad that we didn't get to see any campaign map, CA has no idea how happy i am about this feature being in the game, i hereby forgive and absolve CA from all past grievances and offences

Yeah I liked the sound of this as well, it'll be great for getting you immersed in the game, when each army has it's own banners and traits. You'll actually care when you lose an army, rather than just churning out more units to replace them.

Can you explain to me if you're excited or pessimistic about Rome 2? Half your posts seem to say you like how the game is going, but the other half do not.

finally will be able to have a bit more personality to my stacks, I have always typically kept my number of stacks on the low side and kept ones that I liked fighting with so this is a plus

I paused the video when there was that brief glimpse of the campaign map in the background as well, think it was Italy, but can't be sure :p

This will be awesome, I alwasy enjoyed having veteran armies in civ games that could trace their history back. Will be fun coming up with historical sounding names for factions other then Rome, since I know I will always do numbered legions for them.

At least once the "Dick Stompers" will conquer Rome though.

The question is, will the feature be half-baked like it was in Shogun 2? I'm pretty sure name customization was a thing in ETW as well. Maybe NTW too.
