    Default Legion/Army names

What would you call your armies?
I'm probably gonna name my armies Baal's chosen, Sons of Melqart and so forth.

    1st Legion, 2nd Legion etc.

Seriously this is one feature that must be in the game for me! Its such a small thing but it matters a lot for me.

1st Consular Army and 2nd Consular Army. Named and/or numbered Legions. Armies tied to the traits of the general i.e. must be Consular (with a few exceptions) to command a Consular army. That's for the early to middle Republican period. A relevant historically plausible system for late Republic and later periods.

Simlar system for all other factions.

Try to find an interesting alliterative name that includes the name of the commander. Although I'll have to use a different idea if they don't let us change the name.

I wonder if they'll also add army names for other factions. I don't honestly know if it would be plausible, since well most other nations didn't number their armies.

It depends on the faction. If Roman, I suppose, I'd opt for "10th Legion Apollinaris"; if Greek, "Bolts of Zeus"; if Amazon (in Parthian Shot's mod) "Sisters of Battle"; something like those. Hawooh.

In empire I liked naming units after something from their service history.

Like for example if I have a unit of swiss guard that performed particularly well against winged hussars, I'd name it something like "Polesbane".

One time I had a battery of spanish 12-pounder cannons called "Terror of Morocco"

also naming ships was a particular sub-hobby of mine :V
