Thread: [HS] Conquest of Dorne [Fire and Blood 8.0] (Full, first turn)

    Background:


    Daeron had long felt that the continued independence of Dorne represented unfinished business for the Targaryens, and upon his ascension he vowed to rectify his ancestor's mistake.

    Upon taking the throne in 157AL, the young King Daeron I marched south, quickly defeating the Dornishmen in battle. It's said that he lost ten thousand men taking Dorne and fifty thousand trying to hold it.

    After the Submission of Sunspear, the Young Dragon left the Lord of Highgarden to rule Dorne for him. He moved with his train from one keep to the next, chasing rebels and keeping the knees of the Dornishmen bent. It was his custom to turn the lords of the keeps he stayed in out of their chambers, to sleep in their place. One night, finding himself in a bed with a heavy velvet canopy, he pulled a sash near the pillows to summon a wench. When he did so, the canopy opened and a hundred red scorpions fell upon him. His death led to rebellion throughout Dorne, and in a fortnight all the Young Dragon had won was undone.
    Additional details added up by me:
    • House Yronwood and Martell ceased the hostility between each other and stood against the Targaryen.
    • Redwyne declares for house Targaryen and assists them with the invation into Dorne by invading into westren Dorne. (To have more influnce in Dorne and streanghen their allience with Targaryens - hoping to get a nice piece of the Dronise cake).
    • House Hightower offered the Dronians to defend their westren border and the sea from the Redwyne invasion, they asked for 600 dragons per month for their service and therefore the Martells and Yronwood pays 300 dragons each to hopefully have some more security in the west.


    FACTIONS:


    Factions info:
    Targaryen;
    4 settelments, very good units - 7 generals, best fleet, starts with 48500D+4800Kings purse.

    Matell;
    8 settlements, medicore units - 11 generals,medicore fleet starts with 35000D+2950Kings purse.
    Yronwood;

    4 settlements including a citadel(Yronwood),good units - 8 generals,weak fleet, starts with 27500D+2750Kings purse.

    Hightower;
    6 settlements(including a village),week units - 10 generals,medicore fleet, starts with 18000D+1869Kings purse.
    Redwyne;
    2 settlements(including the best city), best units - 4 generals,good fleet, starts with 40000+2200Kings purse.

    RULES:


    • Pm or VM the next player that it is their turn.
    • No destroying buildings in an under siege settlement. At all other times it is allowed.
    • Forts need to have a garrison of at least 4 units, to limit fort spamming a bit.
    • No assassinations of Factionleaders and heirs. All other characters may be assassinated.
    • No bug abuse! When you think someone has used a bug report it here and the admin will look into it.
    • No sailing from a blockaded port without first defeating the blockading ships.
    • No sallying forth in a siege to deny your besieger the opportunity to sack your settlement.
    • Post pictures of battle odds, and results. It is advised to hide everything else, especially the mini map and your finances.
    • Settlements gifted should disband all units save one.
    • Central weteros is unaccesible. No sending armies, diplomats or princesses there.
    • When your capital is occupied for 3 turns, you must break the allience with your ally and bend your knee to the enemy and become his vassal. When this happens your enemy may choose between these two options: 1) Demand 1 of your castles, 2) Demand you to disband 7 units[You choose which and you MUST video it with cellphone/fraps - whatever you've got.] 3) Demand you to stop paying money to house Hightower.

    GOAL:
    For house Yronwood and Martell:

    • Each faction must have its Capital (Yronwood and Sunspear) un-occupied by the enemy. NOTE: If the enemy does occupies it, it must be immideatly re-occupied (within 3 turns). It's like in chess, if the capital is occupied it's "check" - if the enemy occupies it for 3 turns it's "checkmate" and the owner of the faction must break the allince with its former ally and become the vassal of the enemy that occupied him. [EXAMPLE: House Targaryen occupies Sunspear for 3 turns, Martells have to cut the allince between them and Yronwood and work for Targaryens.]
    • If the capital is occupied by your enemy, your former ally can help you and recapture it - therefore the allience with the enemy occupant will break and you can join forces again [Example: Sunspear was captured and held by Targaryen for 3 turns, Martell has become the vassal of the Targaryens and broke alliens with Yronwood -though the Martells can secretly assist Yronwood to capture Sunspear and rebel against Targaryens] NOTE: If you have become a vassal of your enemy you cannot engage him at anyway! Only if your former ally captures back your own capital.
    • House Yronwood and house Martell need to have 58.5% of their settlements, if they have less than 7 settlements combined they've lost.
    • House Yronwood and Martell have to sign a regular tribute with house "hightower", 300 Dragos every turn for 15 turns (MUST BE DONE ON THE FIRST TURN).


    GOAL:
    For house hightower:


    • You're simply beeing payed to keep invader ships away from dorne, if an enemy ship drops units at your land you may fight them and kick them off your lands.

    • You must watch out for enemy units moving into Dorne, you're allowed to enter dorne ONLY to reinforce the westren border of Dorne, you don't have access beyond Starfall region.

    • Remember - you're greedy, and you know that both sides have money. If the Targaryens decide to triple the price then you may let the enemies to go freely into the dorne. Though you CANNOT fight against Yronwood and Martells because the great houses of Tyrell and Baratheon won't allow you to enter the war.


    GOAL:
    For houses Targaryen and Redwyne:

    • Occupy and hold enemy capitals for 3 turns to make them bend their knees to you and become your vassals (Make sure they won't help their former allies to attack you).

    • Occupy 58.5% of Dorne, (7 out of 12 settlements must held by Targaryen and Redwyne combined.)

    • Use your brain, attempt to bribe house hightower and be creative.

    I think you can modify some of the changes you prefer via admin console! Im no Expert on console commands but check that thread out!

    You also need to have had your account for a certain amount of time, two weeks I believe.

    Will you change Targaryens in any way or will they remain the same? Since it is little odd to write about Daeron when we have Viserys, Daenerys and Drogo in game.
    Also it will be very hard for Martell to defend themselves as Targaryens are so strong. Perhaps you should limit the number of ships that they can have.

    As said in the theard; Goodbrook, willowwood,fawtown,felwood and Grandview will be removed from the Targaryen faction.
    I will also remove Dorogo and Daenerys(Thanks for suggesting this), you're right it's quite odd and I've forgot about it.
    Although the fleet won't be dramaticly changed, I might remove a few ships and add some experience to other ships... Since they're an invading power - it'd be nice to have it so.
    The idea is that the weaker house Redwyne will be supplied by its ally (the targeryen) and so the balance between the teams will be better.
    Also don't forget that Yronwood and the Martells have a little ally that helps them to releaf some of the preassure. (At least at one side of the Dorne).

    If you've got anything else to note, it'd be much appritiated - I didn't finish reading the books and therefore I can't tell what's odd and "un-realistic" and what is "Okay".
