Default Does anyone understand the Roman faction?

There seems to be three families playable.. but is it like in rome 1 or is it that you play the same faction and territories but with different goals and bonuses?
Like can i play as two roman factions in a multiplayer campaign with my friend?

no , there will be no 3 Roman palyable factions, only one Roman faction and if you choose Rome you can choose among 3 families (or gens) with different characteristics and traits

All Roman factions in TWR2 are internal factions with different characters for each. They aren't represented as armies or territory on the map as far as we know.

You probably pick Roma to play and then select with what faimli you want to play .
But i think there will be a similar engine for all the playable factions.
But since there aint any new about this ,we gotta wait for confirmations

Would have been fun though to use this feature to create a new kind of multiplayer campaign with both player sharing the same faction but playing competing families, playing first cooperatively vs the rest of the world, while competing politically and then against each other in a big civil war.

And each province got their own opinion of each of you, resulting in who they join in the civil war.

We can only hope the new system will allow provinces and generals to rebel and create huge civil wars. Maybe you will have to select generals and governors from a limited pool, meaning you won't be able to put your family everywhere, especially as you grow bigger.
