Wow.....New Discovery

Hey guys, I watch the Greek DLC movie at least 8 or 9 times a day for some reason , I know wierd. But anyway I've been watching it and realized something.
They are all fighting on the same battlefield, Spartans, Athens and Epirus!!!!
Not only that, early Roman units are there as well, fighting them as well. They all seem to be in the same town fighting.
I thought it was a cinematic movie they were showing but now I think they were playing the game and recording it to make the trailer!!!
If so all the coolness we saw in the trailer is actual gameplay, and what the spartan does at the end to that guy is actualy gameplay footage! awsomness, sorry guys I just had share it lol

It's alright I watch it 10 times a day to and every other video they post. But nice observation that would be awesome to see battle animations like the one at the end

How on earth can you see that it is the same map? O_o Maybe it is, but I don't think it's the same battle...

So they threw in four factions in one battle to make a cinematic movie... so what. RTW 1 had multiple factions in the same battle as well.

The final animation at the end is pure cut-scene, I believe...Jack said words to the effect that they'd specifically animated that bit for the trailer (that Spartan guy would usually have a shield).

Jack Lusted actually said that the Spartan was an officer and that's why he didn't have a shield. Therefore, it's very probable that animations such as the one shown will feature in the game.

I can tell that theyre in the same map because theyre all in the burning greek town.
I can tell theyre all on the same map because of the order of the scenes.
Scene 1: Athens vs Romans, seems like theyre fighting over the courtyard.
Scene 2: Athens prepares for an Epirus assault
Scene 3: Epirus cavalry outflanks Athens (the warriros dont see the charge comming)
Scene 4: Sparta arrives in the courtyard, you can amke out athenians fighting romans in the background
Sparta mops up Romans

Either theyre all seperate or the romans are allied with with Epirus
And sparta with Athens.

that would be a good scenario, but then why would epirus infantry and cavalry be fighting Athens?

Tbh, even if it is the same battle, it doesn't mean this was a "new thread" worthy :p It's nothing new, still the same footage.

Yea that is true, I just thoguht it was cool that they made the video like one giant battle between the forces. Meaning that the game is playable right now, at least in custom fights. Anyway Sharpe I take my new title seriously.

I'm not sure what else it would be. Except maybe the part where the Spartan is walking alone and stuff (presumably that's either just for the trailer or an intro to a custom battle) but the animations and just about everything else in the trailer already exists to a similar degree in Shogun 2. Did you think it was all pre-rendered or something?

Yea I thought it was like a cinematic movie, like a movie. And I know shogun has pretty cool coreography but this is ancient europe! lol

The only intersting thing I can see in this video is the incredible high quality of models and the landscape.

Easy explanation: recycled material. I mean if I wanted to do trailers for all of these factions, I'll do it all at once to save time. Why wouldn't I?
