Default For what we saw until now, will be more of the same.

Rome 2 is the most anticipated game of the series, in my opinion no future game will have the same expectations, and unfortunately, from what I saw so far,it was merely the transposition of the previous game to a different era.
Until now, and missing just over three months to the D-day, I have not seen anything really new but cosmetic changes, and possibly the game is now in its final stage.
So,what this game will have really new? The campaign will be different, the supply system, the political system?
Or the demanding level of TW fans are so low, that giving more of the same, makes people happy?

I would rather have 'more of the same' than the developers taking everything good about the first game and throwing it out in the sequel(as happened with CoH2). What makes you think it's 'more of the same'. We have barely seen any gameplay yet.

Anyway, the core concepts of the game will always (hopefully) remain the same, it's a series for a reason. For the rest you can add features, "graphics", and setting-specific mechanics: those are the things that have changed.

Dont you tell me that i won't play vire river in COH2. I love this map. And that's the point, they show us two fotages and nothing more,we know almost nothing about the campaign or it map and this ir half of the game, where we spent more time. And if the battles are a transportation of the previous game, the campaign will be probably the same. Im just saying,if they innovate the game before,Rome1 was a revolution,Rome2 should be another revolution to,because no other era are so appellative to do it.

Unless its been confirmed somewhere, I dont E3 is gonna give us anything new besides all the same old stuff we've seen. From what ive read they said "never before seen code will be at Rezzed this year" which is like 2 weeks after E3 unfortunately.

The campaign, naval features, trade, supply or tech/political intrigues (well I'll stop to that because the list is too big...) HAVE NOT been discussed yet. You actually can't judge in a way or another about those matters. Wait next rally point or E3.

No, E3 is not where we learn anything about games. E3 is about carefully managed advertisements. E3 is about playing gamers for suckers.

How about a demo of Rome II's campaign instead? And a detailed walkthrough like the one Jack L. did for Shogun 2 pre-release?

The next step in the way of a global overview is here IMO: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/20...zed-next-month

June 22-23 then we should expect a demo a lil' while after. Meanwhile they should release some informations about campaign and campaign mechancis in the next RPs or in wild drops.

As opposed to the other carefully managed advertisements they give us on a regular basis?

Not many games at all have a demo 4 months pre release, so that is not a valid complaint. The Shogun 2 demo came out in late february and the game released in mid March. The game is still in alpha and it is ludicrous to expect that level of detail in pre release advertisement.

The game is obviously not in alpha, just saying.

Actually it sounds like a ton of stuff is getting changed, particularly on the campaign side. Granted, we've not seen it yet, but seriously, did this need it's own thread? Does nobody do any research before they post anymore?

What do you considere relevant to be discussed here? If the greek, macedonian or even the roman faction will be presented in the game? The colours of the shields, the sandals,if the wardogs barks before charge or else. Talk about a campaign map could be speculative at this point because we dont know nothing about, and we dont know nothing about because CA dont reveal nothing,so I have the right to presume that they dont say nothing because they dont have nothing to say. At least as a unexpected innovation. And knowing that they use the same game engine,Im pessimist in this matter.I saw those naval landings, that's a innovation in fact, but isn't plausible and my main concern are the campaign map, where we spent more than half time.

What do you mean it's not plausible?

If you don't think that Rome 2 will bring some new features into the series then you are deluded.
