wide variety of crashes and error messages

My stainless steel crashes constantly. Sometimes it just ctd, with no notifications whatsoever. This happens the most often when I am at the faction selection screen, or looking at unit rosters in the custom battles. I also get the fatal graphics error message from time to time, typically during battles. I also get the unspecified error message, again typically on the battle map. I read so many people saying they have played through without a single crash.. I am jealous, because this mod makes M2 the best total war game in my book. What should I do? I am thinking I will uninstall stainless steel, and medieval and reinstall to see if that will fix the problem. I read the install guide and followed it, but still am getting crashes way to often. Anybody have some advice? Edit: I just moved and cannot locate my wireless receiver for my desktop. When I find it I will upload specs and diag and whatnot.

Just wanted to update by saying that my anti aliasing setting was at maximum. Not sure how this happened as I swear I did not adjust it. but since I have had no problem whatsoever! Cheers!
