Default Can We Please Shut Up About Each Other

Seriously, I see just as many threads made about users on this forum than the game itself. Always having something to do with the "whiners" or the "fanboys" and honestly I'm sick and tired of it from both sides. Enough is enough, we don't need any more of this hostile ******** on these forums. Talk about the damned game and stop giving a crap about whether or not you think some people are wearing rose-tinted glasses or are whining. It doesn't matter whatsoever, no amount of negativity on these forums is going to scare CA away (and if it does, then they don't belong in the gaming industry anyway) and no amount of positivity is going to make the game any better either.

Can we please just realize that both extremes are wrong? You should never be blindly devoted to a game series or company, and you shouldn't be completely negative of them either! What we need is moderation. Can we all just agree that it's right to be skeptical of a game in development? Can we stop bashing people for having negative opinions or criticisms? Can we stop acting like everything is debbie downer or wrong with the game, and just go day by day with a simple "Hmph, that's interesting."? Can somebody say "I find this particular helmet to be historically inaccurate, and I'd prefer it if CA would fix it." without someone immediately jumping on them about it? Can somebody say "I really like how this game seems to be coming along!" without someone needing to attack them for it?

It's not that hard guys. Live and let live. You have your opinions, and someone always has an opposite opinion. Treat people the way you want to be treated and respect their opinions however opposite from yours' as much as you want yours' respected. We don't need topics dissolving into flame wars, we don't need threads "apologizing" for the behavior of others, and we most certainly do not need to call each other stupid over a video game. It's the internet, yes, but this is TWC. We should be holding ourselves to a higher standard. I mean can we appreciate that at least? It's not 4chan judging by the lack of genitalia.

"Fanboys": Stop ragging on "whiners" for their negative opinions. If they want to decry CA let them, they have as much a right to hate them as you do to love them. Some of them have very damaged histories with the company, and have their reasons for disliking them. If they're cautious and skeptical and put down all the photos and videos CA sends out, let them. Heck, listen to them! They might have a legitimate claim that should be considered, even if it is whether or not a plume is colored correctly.

"Whiners": Stop ragging on "fanboys" for their positive opinions. Not everyone experiences a game the same way, and while the game might not look so good to you to somebody else it might be a dream come true. If they like what they see, let them like what they see. Provide honest critique and your opinion when it seems appropriate, but don't shove it down their throat anymore than you want them shoving their rainbow beams of joy down yours' (it tastes like cat litter, so don't get any ideas).

I'm just sick and tired of coming on here every day seeing people ripping each other apart for their opinions. Seriously guys, we all need to grow up even if we're twelve.

    Really? This is your reply?

I find it very different from those threads, considering I'm actually trying to use reason with everyone to come together and stop ripping out throats rather than mindlessly bash whatever side I don't belong to.

You are one of the biggest men on this whole forum. Your true and make alot of sense, I almost thought this forum was gone witht the kind of silliness I see. It was so bad I actually removed the site off my google page and of late I came back to see what has happened. I dont agree with much on this forum but I do agree with this post quoted 200%

    Serious response:

There hasn't been a lot of new information. What information has been given (Pontus, Greek DLCs) has been received so negatively that it sparked a faction of pessimists. I'm not a 'fanboy' by any means, just a fan of the series. If I thought CA was making bad games, I would no longer purchase them, but I enjoy them more than any other game these days. I've spent a few posts involved in the little civil war, simply because they have been annoying me. Apologies if that has in turned annoyed other members.

Well.. there's the option to request from the TWC admins for a suspended request if one can't hold him/herself automatically being logged in to TWC everyday. At the very least not going to every threads or sub forums which one does not have any interest.

    Just a suggestion of course.

Actually, you might find CA appreciate both sets equally as much, the so-called "fanboys" and the "whiners". Same amounts of passion for the game, and indeed the series, just brought to the table from different directions.

Plus, if we're arguing amongst ourselves were not arguing with them!

Someone should start a "Sig campaign", like these ones i see people with going on about colours. You know the ones.....

    ..."I am Red
    Blah blah blah"

Should do 2 different ones, "I am a FanBoy" and "I am a Whiner", then underneath it people can add to there sigs 3 or 4 things that makes them of that viewpoint.

If nothing else, it would be fun to see which one takes off, plus it would give CA a very quick reference to what fans like and dislike, generally speaking, about TW games!

If CA is actually reading these forums from time to time to see what fans are out after, what features we want, I think we all want to highlight our opinions.

I really hope that they are focusing more on making a playable game, rooting out bugs, and make things look plausable, adding effects such as arrows flying in believable ways, and fixing long lasting problems of the series such as difficulties chasing down routers, rather than spend their meeting discussing where the feather of the greek helmet should be located. To me, these are minor problems, and more importantly things mod can change for people obsessing about plumes of helmets or amounts of makeup, and those of you who actually spend your time doing just that - I applaud you.

People whine about people who whine because it is annoying to read, and lowers the enjoyment of reading through the forum.
This IS a gamers forum though, and it is about a Game that people have waited for close to ten years. It is not reasonable to to expect there would be any change in the forum. All the posts and whines etc just show how excited people really are about this game, and that, CA loves

But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth! Rev 3:16. How can you be on a forum for TOTAL WAR and not expect a fight? (and ya i just quoted from the Bible)

    LMAO well played sir.

And in response to the OP, thank you for this thread, it feels like this forum is having a civil war right now and it's always nice to see that there are still sane people. Too bad this thread will inevitably be locked.
