    Default feature transfer error

So to start off I have installed Medieval 2 before but I just uninstalled and now when I try to install it agin it comes up with this when it is only about a tenth of the way there.
    It says:
    Feature: English
    Component: english game
    File: D:/m2tw/Dist1/data2.cab
Error: Data error (cyclic redundancy error)
I have tryed to install it 5 times so I thought that it was time to come here.
    Any help is welcome. thanks

Clean the disc real good and check it for scratches, scrapes, divots, dirt, food, etc.

Cycle redundancy? What does that mean? Ron, do you think some left over M2TW data could be conflicting? Maybe M2TW wasn't fully uninstalled.

Nothing left over. His disc has seen better days. You get a deep scratch or even the oil from a fingerprint in the wrong place, the laser can't read that part of the disc. My Kingdoms disc is on its last legs and the only reason my Rome disc still worked the last time I used it was a little toothpaste and a lot of elbow grease to fill in the worst of the scratches. Some have reported having good results with furniture polish.
