    Default Collectors Edition. Happy?

So what do you guys think of the Collectors Edtion? Are you happy with the content? Could CA have added more stuff? Usually I would want something exclusive in the game, that you get only if you order CE, but this time I'm okay without. Plus it would probably start a rage war on the forums.

Yea, an exclusive in-game item is kind of a bad move. Im alright with it, i would rather have had a Roman soldier or Hoplite figure colored like a statue or something. But the miniature onager is pretty neat aswell, although im still not sure if i will get the Collectors Edition. I have never bought a collector edition for any game before either.

I always buy CE, and always have with Total War. However this time around I'm giving it a miss. £100+ for catapult and some cards is a bit too much. Think there should of been some exclusive DLC of some sort (yes I know, the big DLC moan) and maybe a making of DVD.. I real in depth look of CA - even more so then the rally point episodes. But yer.. The steel book/case looks nice but thats about it. Shame really, but the normal game case looks sweet for £29.99 + Greek factions DLC.

Ya the price is a bit too steep to justify it. I would have loved an art book, the map, and a making of dvd more for about $80-100. $150 for the stuff you get is... reasonable, but I don't want any of the stuff that mostly costs the 90 extra bucks.

In a burlap sack... still bleeding... fresh from being cut off by the Covenant. Should we get Pompey's head in a basket for Rome II?

Might as well give me a war elephant. lol

Or even cooler would be a bag of soldiers from rome and a couple other factions. Like army men. And give them little catapults and you can set them up on display or play with them during loading times. Or even test out strategies.

If nothing else I'm glad the crap the CE comes with isn't actually part of the game.

Would've liked an artbook instead of a toy onager.

We should've gotten full legionnaire armor, with a roman standard. Now THAT would be a real CE.

I liked the looks of the collector's edition and the contents, but after thinking about it, my money is best spent elsewhere.

if i get the CE, it will be the first one ive ever gotten. i might just do it too. i like the onager but i would have preferred a hand painted statue or something. or even a trivia history booklet on the factions. either way im pretty satisfied.

I've never had a general interest in Collector's Editions. I think the stuff that comes with them are for kids.

Its a true collectors edition to start with, only 22,000 made, and all the extra content in goodies doesn't affect the staple game in anyway, which shows me CA have done things right. Most other gaming companys, or kick starters would have offered plently of fancy in game content to try and stretch you the extra few quid, to get an edge on your fellow gamer.

Really want to get the collector edition, may use the tabular set with my friends on a friday night at a pub in bethnal green, since we sometimes play chess there, but for the most part its to support the games of a company i grew up playing. Although ive already pre ordered the standard version, im kicking myself with guilt for not getting the collecters edition, so may upgrade, since its the only way ill really get to say thank you to CA.

But dam me if thats a bit of a steep price, would have been neat if those exculsive roman numeral keys gave access to beta of there future games or expansions to come, will be ever so gutted if thats the case, but that just speculation on that,

but yeah, happy with the contents of the collectors pack, not so happy about the price, but least to say, its sorta fair, and none of it won't be missed from the staple game.

If theres any left within a month or so, ill most likely upgrade, and pay the extra £80, instead of my great early little deal on zavvi for £25.98,.... quite ludicrous i know... i shall have to see...
