    Default peasants

    what will the realistic equipment and clothing be? will there be any chance that CA will mess up the name or clothing/equipment?

    the last time i saw peasants like they were in rtw and m2tw was in ...well m2tw. i dont think we'll be seeing peasants.

    maybe they could a civilian at arms type of unit. In which they provide their own very crude equipment.

    The most useless unit of TW: except in Rome I, when you could use them to move population from a settlement to another.

    They could also be used as a meat shield against ai troops in older TWs if used correctly.
    We also had peasants in Shogun 2 : Ashigaru (sp?) = civilians
    I would not be surprised if they were added...

    well, many units fall into that category, i think this is about peasants with knives or pitchfork and no armour

    Yeah, but they haven't been sent to war like in RTW: with their everyday clothes and just a small knife.

    The only use people ever have for peasants in these games is if you have enough money to get them and no other unit. Meat shield, and basically useless. I don't think we'll be seeing them.

    Peasants were far from useless.

    Although perhaps instead of peasants, we could have slaves?

    So that when you took over an enemy town, you could then take some of the population and herd them infront of you in battle to absorb cavalry charges/arrows from the enemy.
