Oh so much rep for you! People do tend to get worked up about things sadly. BUT criticism is always good you just need to be smart about it. Though... that can be hard to reach with some people...

I'm happy that this came up. I think that there is a serious case of inflated expectations on this board, and I just want CA to know that I'm just happy that they keep making such great games.

    Thanks CA and thanks TWC!

Just to clear things up. I meant only that I disliked non-constructive criticism that I have seen.

Uh. I don't have "a messiah complex". I was just trying to add a bit of positive feelings into the forum after a few of the posts I saw.

You can't apologise for something you didn't do.
Dominion of Dust. A city of sand. Built your world of nothing. So how long did it stand?
A 100 years? Now wasn't it grand? Built your world of nothing. How long did it stand?
What did you think would happen? When did you think it would all fall down?
Domain of dust in a land of sand. Did yourself right, so let's feel grand.
Domain of dust in a land of sand. Now there's nowhere left to stand.

When you have a girlfriend or wife, you find yourself doing that quite often...

Generally speaking I think we ought to respect people's opinions. The problem arises when the same subjects are raised over and over again, often in new threads. What hasn't yet been said about DLC or mod support? Yet that subject turns up over and over again prompting the same arguments again and again. I'm sorry, but the point has been reached where it is fair enough to say that the next person to post such a thread is either too lazy to read before posting or deliberately disruptive.

I agree with your sentiments. A lot of people seem able to conjure up an unnatural level of vitriol for a games company. They're not really a legitimate target of such angry bitterness. Creative Assembly do not have control over our lives; they're not the government, they're not a local authority taking our taxes and squandering them; they're not an inefficiently-run health service putting our health at risk, or a bad school that is failing to provide our children with a supportive learning environment; they're not driving our countries to wreck and ruin, raiding our pensions, infringing on our democratic rights, altering our economic situations. They're a business employing people passionate about gaming that make a luxury product that you, the consumer, can choose to buy or not. And yet, still, we get a real outpouring of hatred for them at worst, and a grasping sense of God-given entitlement at best. First world problems, I guess.

    Well put.

    typical overreaction from fanboys.
really this forum is starting to make me think we have kids come over from the cod forums.

    Badly put.

I agree with you 100% CA is one of the few developers who I actually trust and always try and buy things from them (because I LIKE the product. That doesnt make me a blind fanboy). I feel like they are extremely passionate about this game and I feel like they are actually listening to the community at implementing the ideas they like into it.

I trust CA to be a profitable business.
Doesn't mean I have to like it.

It is a select minority that in my opinion has raised their ugly head too often in recent threads. I know I'll probably get shot down for this, but I really thought that someone needed to say this publicly. Creative Assembly is one of my favorite development studios, and I don't want to see them go the way of Bioware where fan backlash may have caused the founders to seek an early retirement. A perfectly legitimate choice following the amount of rude comments that they had to deal with. So to CA and especially to the employees who often post here, the majority of people here still do now how to be pleasant and do appreciate the amount of time and work you all put into the games that we love.
