Default The small camp of the Ghostwyrm's Knights

    Camp of Ser Loras Ghostwyrm
    Current location
    : Saltpans
Troops, staying at the small camp: 400 heavy cavalerists (disbanded knights of the Thorn Guard)

"Ser Loras, you heard the news from the Reach?", Ser Weymar said when entering the small tent of the ex-Thorn Guard captain, "Looks like there are rumors of possible movements from some lords against the Baratheons."
The young, blonde attractive man looked up, his golden, long hair waving for a short second in the air before gravity made it fall back. With his blue eyes he mustered the man in front of him with a slight smile.
"They would be kind of dumb, a combined Stormlands and Reach army could smash the Iron Islands in one single clash - and I doubt the Lannisters would intervene in case their fleet strikes. I bet the Crownlands join in, soon, and then the kraken will be nothing more than a little squid. Also, don't forget about our comrades, even fourthousand horses with knights will beat the crap out of two major lords combining their armies! Ha!
But this, my dear friend, is no longer in our concern. The lord disbanded us, his son was murdered, the lady may be beautiful, but she won't beg us for coming back. We have to find our own way and I actually want to continiue Lord Luthor's dream."
"But in a way he did not intend, as far as I see", Weymar grinned, "I only see that they are serving now a ghostly dragon, not a rose."
Loras shrugged about it, when he looked at a Shield with his coat of arms, he had as a Hedge knight laying in the corner. Several other Thorn Guards have overtaken the sigil on their shields.
"Every Hedge knight, who wants to be more than just a castle guard, needs a figure, independent from his overlord and they choose me for odd reasons", he only said, "But looking at other coats of arms I can understand this. Just look at the sigils of Ser Meribald Porkslayer and Ser Robert Dandelion..."
The bastard from the Vale chuckeled about this imagery and Loras smiled again.
"Anyway", he said, "We will avoid the conflict in our home country for now", he then said, "We will see how many persons we're able to train in the next months and how much of them will really achieve knighthood. I don't think that we will find more interested knights outside the Reach. And maybe, in the meantime, someone will be interested in our services."
"For example Clegane", his advisor proposed the most well-known sellsword client in the realm.
"Or other persons", Loras pointed out friendly, "There are still enough lords with honorable attitudes outside the Reach and who are in need of knights, they can trust their lifes and which are presumably more loyal than the whole Kingsguard and the most Lord Paramounts towards their king. We will wait my friend, travel through the northern realm and find a client, don't worry. And in the meantime the wyrm is growing."
"As long as he doesn't grow fat, I can appreciate this."
"Why is the Arbor Gold gone? That's actually a shame..."

    Ser Loras Ghostwyrm
I have heard of the valor and worth of the knights of the Reach, would you consider being hired by a Riverlander house?

Loras looked up in wondering when Ser Weymar brought him the letter, but after he read it, he had to smile.
"He didn't mention a price, did he?", he asked his advisor curious, "Another letter you can show me or a bag of money?"
The bastard knight from the Vale shook his head.
"Apparently not", he said, "He didn't tell us a price."
"Well, I doubt that he would give us free choice, because then I would take a daughter", Loras said with a slight smile, "I will write him back, but wait for other letters. Maybe more people will recognize us soon and bid a better ammount of money than the 'late' Lord of the Crossing."

    Ser Loras Ghostwyrm
I would offer you 15,000 Gold Dragons every year and a starting income of 30,000. Your task would be to support the strength of house Frey and will be used against the enemies of the Riverlands. Battle, city sacking and raiding would be considered involved in your contract as well as 20% of all spoils of war. (This would increase if you are a tide turner.) More rewards would be offered as the cooperation progresses.
    - Lord Frederick Frey, Lord of the Crossing and The Twins.

    "City sacking..."
Ser Loras was a little bit quiet for a moment after he read the answer his messenger brought him back.
"Doesn't sound like a noble task, I definitly agree, mylord", Weymar agreed, "But maybe our best chance for the next years to build up at least a good ammount of knights."
"I know", Loras sighed, "but I think we will talk about that with him in private. The sum of money sounds acceptable, at least. A better sum than they paid us in Highgarden for such a troop size. But I'm sure we will soon increase our ranks. In a few days we will ride towards The Twins if no one else is contacting us, Weymar."
The bastard knight nodded and left the tent.

OOC: If Hross is still interested in his offer, he should respond quickly, otherwise I really consider to leave the camp and ride to The Twins instead.
