pre ordering on steam

Hi guys Im from Iraq I want to pre-order Rome 2 on steam but the problem is my master card does not work on steam i contacted the support and they said u can't use your Iraqi mastercard " my country is not supported " I was wondering if there there are other sites to pre-order Rome 2 i used my mastercard on origin and it worked perfectly without any problem .

I want a digital version of the game not the boxed one I can download the game without any problems we have a good internet connection in Kurdistan ..I just used my mastercard on origin , can I buy a serial number form other sites and activate it on steam ?? ? is it possible ?

Iraq has no problem with the mastercard. Its Steam a U.S. company that,s the hassle.

If you buy the boxed version you can still download it from steam (even if it doesn't make much sense), just use the serial key you get with it to activate the game on steam and it will be added to your account.

I use to live in Pakistan so I feel your pain and I have some suggestions that will hopefully help you:

1. Just go to a local video game retailer and preorder the disk. Once you get the disk the game downloads on to steam anyways and then you never need the disk again.

2. If there are no stores in your area you could ask a friend from another country to buy the disk and ship it to you. I used to have my friend in London ship me video games, it's a hassle but it works

3. Try this website: http://www.greenmangaming.com/s/ca/e...l-war-rome-ii/ they will give you a digital copy of the game but I don't know if it takes Iraqi credit cards.

4. Get an American dollar MasterCard, this should work, but it should only be used as a last resort because it is a big hassle and they may still reject it because of your region.
