    Default Medieval 2 worth it?

Hey, I am want to get another TW game for the summer and I only have S2 and FOTS. Was just wondering whether I should get Med 2 as I am really interested in its Third Age mod and really want to try it out. So is it worth it for £6, or are there better TW games?

It's the most flexible mod platform and the vanilla version is entertaining too, so by all means go for it. Just make sure you get Kingdoms as a part of the deal as many of the mods (including Third Age) won't work otherwise.

You can ask the people who play it themselves http://www.twcenter.net/forums/forum...-Age-Total-War

I've played it a little, its pretty good, the skins are great, the factions have good rosters and most of all there are custom settlements.

The mod is really good because it can reach the demands which the LOTR books have put forth and dont need to break the hard coded limits to do so. Most historic mods have a problem with that because the faction limit is 32 and in the medieval Europe for example there were lots of minor factions which were unique and had their own special units(unit limit is 500). TATW has no problems with this because there are only about 10 factions, heck they even implanted that you can reform one of the kingdoms(forgot the name) once you get the provinces you need with one of the factions.

Seriously go for it. M2Tw is my favourite Total War and I've played everything except FOTS. Third Age particularly is my favourite campaign and home to my favourite Total War unit (Sentinels for Silvan Elves) in anything. Definitely get it if your interested.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
I am me. You are not me. You are you. If I was you, I wouldn't be me.
If you were me, I'd be sad.But I wouldn't then be me because you'd be me so you wouldn't be me because I wasn't me because you were me but you couldn't be because I'd be a different me. I'd rather be any kind of bird (apart from a goose) than be you because to be you I'd have to not be me which I couldn't do unless someone else was me but then they would be you aswell so there would still be no me. They would be you because I was you so to restore balance you would have to be me and them meaning all three of us would become one continously the same. That would be very bad.

Look at the number of people viewing the different threads, then consider the age of this game vs. most of the others... MTW2 is almost always the #1 most active. That by itself should give a good indication of what people think of it.

Are you joking mate? This is THE Total War game, no one matches this one.
