Extreme lag in Battle *New built gaming rig* HELP..
Hi Guys,
Just built this rig and Ive been playing shogun total war 2 with 15k plus troops on the field with NO issues at all. Yet ive gone back to playing RTW BI on this new rig and a normal battle consisting of 5k overall gives me major lag and about 5-10 fps? :S... Really driving me nuts. Anyone have any ideas?
Tried to post my Dxdiag but kept saying to many URL's if anyone can point me as to why it would say that ill post it. But basic system is as below.

Re: Extreme lag in Battle *New built gaming rig* HELP..
First of all - Welcome to TWC.
Please read the pinned topics before you post. Especially this one: here.
You're getting the message about too many URLs as there are restrictions on this forum as to what you can post until I think you get 25 posts and been on the forum for 2 weeks. This is done to restrict the spambots that routinely post on random forums.
You should have been able to attach your dxdiag file as a text file though - just go into 'advanced' mode by pressing the 'go advanced' button which is on the bottom right hand side of the window you type your response into.
The problem with R:TW is that is uses an engine that pre-dates 2004. The game will only use 1 core of your memory and won't make the most of many of the features on your GTX670.
I have a Core I7 system with 6GB of memory and a GTX670. When I play RSII I play on huge settings but don't play with hi-res units or vegetation (the options on the launcher). I do have most in-game graphic settings set to the highest value but I use the nVidia Control Panel to enhance the in-game settings for AA and other bits and pieces.
Oh, I also play at 2560x1600 resolution.
You need to decide what you don't need to see - vegetation has always been a devourer of resources and should be the first to be turned down.
As you've not posted anything about your graphic settings in-game (and we can't see that in your Dxdiag) anything else is just a waste of time......
