No matter how many times CA says it, people never seem to get it. CA said they aim for "Authenticity instead of Realism". I really cannot understand why people are complaining about armour being too shiny, Germanic tribes not having the correct swords, Greek States at wrong historical strengths, the list just goes on. People are expecting things from CA that they themselves are not even aiming for. Mods WILL change things and give you guys what you want. Leave CA in peace to make sure we got a good, solid engine that can support the gameplay itself, let them add all the badass looking animations. The modders will do what they do when they can. Personally, I'm looking forward to Roma Surrectum on Rome 2. CA knows that modders are going to change everything once they can anyway, so why should they waste time adding very little details when they can spend that time to give us a strong engine, solid character models, animations and other things which are crucial to the gameplay? Don't you think it is counter-productive to waste so much time on getting the little details right when you know a group of modders, who are well knowledged in the specifics, are going to change it anyway? Authenticity-wise, CA have nailed Rome 2. I really like what they have done. Let the modders give you a realistic experience, but let CA make this a TW game. TW is not about realism, it's about authenticity. I'm just trying to tell people to chill out, there is nothing to worry about. What CA doesn't do, a modder will.
