Im sure that CA would be eager to admit that theyve cutted some content while its most hated dev practice these times. Nobody can say if its true or false

    >And consumers would promptly not buy anymore cornflakes from Nestle and "gas" from those stations.

Only if they had noticed it or if there was any alternative, like indie food producers. Nowadays DLCs are omnipresent.

    >You see, we have technology, word of mouth, phones, text messages, e-mails, Facebook, Twitter, even forums like (what was the name....) TWCenter to spread our ire.

Marketers use it too, EA pays for reviews on opinion making sites.

    >Why do you think some products succeed and some fail? Hint: most of the time, bad products don't sell very well.

I think that its mostly thanks to marketing, you can persuade most people to buy almost anything. Its really simple. But that doesnt mean it will be good for them.

I remember there was a time when you wouldn't look twice at a game released 2 years ago, because it would be hopelessly outdated. By now a relatively small group of studios seem to have emerged capable of making large productions at the cutting edge. Quality wise, their games remain competitive in the market for a much longer time than used to be the case. I suppose we should be grateful CA is one of them, or we'd all be relegated to playing inane shooters and fantasy mmorpgs.

    >By the way, have you still not learned that the main game and DLC are on separate budgets?

I will need source for that.
They didnt reeased game yet and already have seprated budget for dlc? Who ar you trying to fool? Pontus and Greek pack are most likely cutted content. Cost of making those dlc will be included in market price of the final product.

All DLC content is worked on on it's own time and it's own budget seperate from the main game.

Even if that is true there is this thing called budget allocation. Certain parts of the budget are meant for certain things. SEGA most probably tells a subsidiary like CA what to do with SEGA's cash.
