Default Emperor: The Blood of Gods

Probably doesn't belong in this section, but it's the most frequented so whatever.

For those who don't know, a fifth Emperor book will be coming out in six
    days on May 23rd.

The title is Emperor: The Blood of Gods. It's the story of the events
following the assassination of Julius Caesar and the rise of Augustus.

cool, this thread will probably be deleted, but theres a book that is all about the tutonberg (spelled wrong i know) battle, and everything that leads up to it. It tells it like a non fiction but everything is accurate. I think its called Varus.

I always found history so much more interesting than fiction, especially Roman and Soviet, it's all so dramatic. I understand that these books are kind of 'pseudo-fiction', mid way between fiction and history. I might give 'em a look.

History might as well be fiction. Somebody had to write it.

Is it along the lines of Killer Angels? That book was absolutely fantastic.

cool! I'll get that. I'm also surprised CA haven't marketed the Rome 2 novella series yet!
I recently reread the series in reverse order accidentally cus I couldn't find the books quick enough!

Awesome!! Just the thing to keep my mind off the long wait for R2TW!! Really enjoyed the previous 4 titles - i remember reading the bit where Tubruk dies while on bus coming home from work and i was so absorbed i missed my stop!

I would also recommend Valerio Massimo Manfredi novels Spartan, Talisman of Troy and his Alexander Trilogy also. Finally, David Gemmells' "Lion of Macedon" and "Dark Prince" are also entertaining reads!!
