Default Total War game converter (best known as Paradox Games' greatest creation)

Just throwing this out there in case it hasn't been asked (I ran a search and couldn't find anything, but it's likely this has been brought up before; in that case, just give me a virtual smack to the forehead). Fellow Paradox fans out there know that it is now possible to control a country's history from 1099 to 1953 if you possess Crusader Kings, EU2, Vicki: Revs, and HoI2: DD. Obviously this development will lead to the starvations of strategy geeks everywhere as they forget to eat for weeks straight. That unfortunate consequence aside, I remembered that R:TW and M:TW2 will be running the same game engine (albeit with a few tweaks here and there). I have to ask: is it possible to replicate Paradox's achievement and control total war history from 270BC to 1453AD? I understand the problems that would be encountered involving the fall and evolution of different countries (i.e. the barbarian tribes becoming actual feudaldoms). That aside, however, would it technologically be possible to export and convert saved game files between the two games?

I would think it would be unlikely. The differences in the engines mean that some things would not be accurately represented. The save games would not be compatible and it would require a lot of coding to even try.

However, porting all of Rome to Medieval.. that might be possible but with an insane amount of work.
