    Don't worry
Provinces as administrative entities divided in several regions

It's 57 provinces with sub-regions in each, in total thats 187 capturable regions (I think it was).

Noup, there is not. Trust me, I wont bother to beat 403 and 500 error to ask such a question. Tnx to all for answers and being nice. If there is just 57 provinces, then what about statement that there will be more than 100 factions (I think) ? How is that possible?

Did you even read "57 provinves with SUB-REGIONS" ? In total you can have your empire take over a total of 187 regions, the map is insane bigger than Shogun 2 and Rome 1.

Multiple factions can be in the same province. Lets say there are 3 cities in a province. well, one faction can have each of those cities.

I guess some factions will be only one village then.

And you're basing your assumptions on what? Don't be so negative... Let's wait till they release video or pictures of the Campaign Map, then we can start debating it.

He is right though, with 183 regions and 100+ factions, some will be starting with only 1 city. I imagine it will rapidly drop to 50 factions in the first 15 turns, and 25 not long after that.

And what exactly is wrong about this concept?

Dude, there are 183 REGIONS just like how they are in every other TW game. Each of these 183 REGIONS GROUP INTO 57 PROVINCES. Do you understand what I'm saying?

The naming is a bit confusing, for me provinces have always been part of the regions. So for me a region has several provinces.

Ya, same for me, but the Romans called the territory that they split up Provinces .

    This is a modern concept

During Roman Era the province was the largest administrative unit. There weren't regions, but municeps during Roman Era. Regions are just a device to allow conquest of just a part of a province.
