    Default Warcries/Chants

I am assuming everyone heard the warcries in the Teutoberg forest video? And when the Athenian soldiers formed up in the teaser for the Greek Culture Pack they did some sort of chant as they assumed formation.

I honestly think this is great - inclusions such as this build a great ambiance and can give a lot of character to the troops.

I hoping that the barbarian factions have some really decent ones when they are marching into battle.

I can the Iceni or Seubi chanting on their berserkers as the charge in - it would so sweet.

    Obligatory LOTR video

I approve of this ! lol

More serious though I do agree the warcries and chants would add alot of depth to the soldiers. I just hope that each type of unit has a different sounding chant
or atleast each factions units chants and warcries sound alot different.

    What about this:

Quem faz injúria vil e sem razão,Com forças e poder em que está posto,Não vence; que a vitória verdadeira É saber ter justiça nua e inteira-He who, solely to oppress,Employs or martial force, or power, achieves No victory; but a true victory Is gained, when justice triumphs and prevails.

I feel as if a war cry or shout is an exemplification of your adrenaline, anger, fear or even joy. Or on the other hand used in cohesion when marching in synchrony with your comrades.

    Plus it sounds rad.

I do like the immersion that they bring, as they just make replays that extra reason to go in to the new soldier view thing and actually just watch and listen to soldiers as they battle it out.
I don't have much time to zoom in and listen to the chants in the most part, so I do hope they add as many of these war ties as possible.

But whilst I would like numerous chants, it'd be great to have them all to be unique and varied to the others so we don't get tired of hearing the same ones all of the time.

Rich Gallaecia sent its youths, wise in the knowledge of divination by the entrails of beasts, by feathers and flames, now howling barbarian songs in the tongues of their homelands, now alternately stamping the ground in their rhythmic dances until the ground rang, and accompanying the playing with sonorous shields

i agree if they put this in the game it would be awsome

Great quote - I will rep you when I get my repping abilities back.

Certainly helps to characterize the soldiers.

if you are interested it was made by the great silius italicus , and i think it differs as per tribe, culture as some used Horns and others used different methods to scare enemies away.

If you work to earn a living, why then do you work yourself to death?

A bit of creative licence comes into play there.
