    Default Great Job

Currently playing my first full campaign in RTRPE. Its been a while since I properly played RTW, probably way back while testing 6.0. I played PE1.4 but not for very long, only about 60turns.

Great Job on the conversion to 1.5 guys. Much better than RTR6 on 1.2.

The battles are harder, the AI on the strat map is tougher and the game far more enjoyable.
Currently not a single complaint to make at all.

Playing Strat V.Hard and Battles Hard. Playing as Carthage and as much as i hate losing its making a change to get my ass handed to me, unlike the Vanilla, 6.0 cakewalk. Currently fighting the Iberians, Greeks, Romans and Numidia and getting owned. Was making progress in both Spain and Sicily but then had to recall a fair size of my force to deal with the Numidians who turned up with 2 full stacks. While lifiting the seiges the Numidians had placed on a number of my cities, the Romans decided they wanted me out of Sicily, more forces are now way overstretched.

The Romans have about 3 stacks in Sicily to my 1 Stack. My stack are inexperienced Libyans Spearmen, Numidian Cavarly and Iberian Auxilia. The Roman stacks have a mixture of Italian Allies and Romans, most with silver chevrons and most at full strenght. So the odds are stacked against me.

The Iberians want me out to, Currently both Gades and Carthago are under seige, with a relief army about to land in from Balerics, luckily they mostly vetrans from previous fighting in Spain but had to be recalled to deal with a Numidian stack and needed retraining.

The Numdians are now on the retreat but fighting them in the mountain passes is proving costly in both cavalry and infantry.

Luckily the Greeks are no longer a problem except for the constant attack on my ships.

I have not lost a battle yet but had a few Average Victories which turn out to be more like Pyrrhic Victories, when the nearest City to retrain is a few turns away, your forces overstretched and the enemy throwing stack after stack at your you cant afford Average Victories.

No faction will agree to a ceasefire either.

I have fallen in love with the new hoplite phalanx, they hold formation, they perform better in battle and more realistic in my opinion, its great how now they can run while in the formation making them no long just a 2nd rate phalanx unit, they now have better mobility than the heavier macedonian phalanx, even if they lack the range. Definatly my favorite thing changed in PE.

Finally RTW is playable again, and enjoyable, cant praise you guys enough, keep up the good work.

Oh an nice to see that you included the land block mod I did for 1.4.

You think the hoplites are sweet now? Try adding the overhand animation from the unified animations addon. After that we will talk sweet.

I dont believe in just giving negative feedback, I know what its like to be part of a modding team and it gets really annoying when people just complain while you work your ass of for them, its nice to hear your doing a good job.

I remember when I was developing the AOR system for RTR and the amount of negative feedback I got in the early stages, got to a point where I nearly gave up on it. Luckily I kept at it and managed to get it completed with a bit of help from Bouis(remember him?).

    Anyway keep it up guys.
