Which further factions do you want most? (8 votes)

Hey everyone,

you might think this is an old question, but I'm trying to do a bit different poll here: It is going to be an multiple choice poll and you should vote for EIGHT factions on the list, because 20 playable factions seem to be a very realistic number. These further 8 factions would come from Free-LCs, DLCS or whatever and I just want to see which ones you are favouring. It would be pointless to give you only one vote because in that case the Seleucid Empire would surely top the poll. Thus you will have eight votes so we can actually see a ranking of the factions

The factions were chosen after historical relevance, uniqueness and position on the map, and thanks to CheesyFreak for helping me with it!

A little bit random list in my opinion.

When it comes to Hispania, you are leaving out 2 of the most important peoples, the Turdetani (heirs to Tartessos and the most advanced among the spaniards according to Strabo) and the Bastetani/Contestani (who are the only ones that actually looked like the image that most of us got of the iberians, including the falcata sword, of which they were -almost exclusively- the main users.).

I'm also surprised that you include tribes as the Gallaecians but leave out (pop) iconic ones like the Cantabrians.

Btw, i find odd that neither the gaul-lovers nor the spaniard-lovers are asking for aquitanian culture factions, as the Vascones.




In any case, voted for Celtiberians, Seleucids, Syracuse and Bactria.

Thanks, I did that now. Well somewhere I had to make cuts and then you can just vote for the last option (other faction) and state it like you just did

I voted for Celtiberians just because I'd be nice to have another culture in-game. Not because I'd play them.

Not the best option if having a different culture is your main goal. The celtiberians were actually celtic for the most part, and we already have two celtic playable factions. Although i find their mixture of the celtic and iberian cultures interesting (and an easy way for CA to make everyone happy).

The unique cultures in Hispania (beside the celts) were the Iberian peoples, the Aquitanians (also in southwestern France) and the Turdetanians (considered iberians by some and their own independent culture -Tartessian- by others. The Lusitanians were unique originally but they became heavily celticied. Of course I'm not including foreign colonists as the greeks or the phoenicians.

Well as I said we did not want to include EVERY possible factions, and the Sarmatians, though debated, can be seen as a Scythian tribe. The Basternae weren't that important, only in later times do they actually appear in the sources, but we could have put the Boii in I guess.
