Default Question about lifting a seige

I have a city under siege and for some reason I can't attack the besieging force. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

    Thanks

have you tried with ctrl + a and then you click on the enemy force?

I tried that and no luck. Maybe because I previously left the city when I saw multiple stacks approaching to thin them out a little and then retreated back into the city. But that was the previous turn so I didn't think that would apply.

    Thanks for the reply.

but does the sword appear at least?

It's odd anyway, if you can't solve like that you need to wait for the enemy to attack. Or send a cheap unit behind them so you can attack from both sides.

No, the sword does not appear. Allowing the enemy to attack fails because there are 4 stacks and no units outside the city close enough to attack from behind.

No big deal, just wondering if there was a workaround for this.

    Thanks for the reply.
