    Default Emergent factions

There's been a lot of speculation about the game's starting factions. There's a good thread here about the unplayable factions at the game's start, and it looks fairly concise. Still, there are something like 80-90 factions there, leaving quite a few slots out of the 117 factions for emerging factions. I think we could expect to see quite a lot of new factions emerge over the course of a campaign.

Question here, then, is which factions do people think will emerge and when?

We will wait and we will see.

Getting to a stage now where I would expect CA to start giving us more information. Making us pre-order before even showing us a campaign map is a little strange, maybe it will be a 3 month hype-train from June.

I hope we see a native Egyptian faction just for fun.

I hope Persia is a possible emergent faction, it would be cool to see it rebel against the Seleucids and attempt to reform an empire.

I also hope on some (if the conditions are right) emerging persian revolt in persia, assyria or seleucia. It might make a future Seleucid campaign more interesting if there are not only rebellions at the edges of your kingdom ore faction splits but also some cultural troubles due to old persian loyalties or anti-hellenistic feelings with the non-greeks. Perhaps a native egyptian uprising would also be needed to offset the large egyptian nation at the start of the game. Aside from those to I think there is room enough for other emerging factions.

I also hope that India will make an emerging appearance under certain conditions, I hope CA makes work of correctly and fun implementations of the advantages and disadvantages of having borders with regions outside the map. There should be some income benefits in this regions due to trade (I believe this has been confirmed) but also some risk from invading armies (indians from the east, Saka Rauka and Yuezhi from the north/northeast) to compensate for the otherwise unrealistic advantages.

The Mauryan Empire should be on the map at the start of the game, since they did own some of the easternmost regions of the map at the time of the campaign's start.

Agree about Persian/Egyptian rebellions, would be a good way to bring these sorts of cultures back into the world, and it could make for some very interesting campaign situations as well as helping with balance.

Native persian emerging rebels faction would be awsome.
if so only that when you reach thiere borders as the romans youd have a more proper non hellenic persian enemy assuming 1 province parthia fails.
