[Shipping Date] Collector's Edition

Hello,
I would like to preorder the Rome 2 Collector's Edition from the US Sega Store. I have a question about the pre-order process.
On the sega US Store website (http://us.download-store.sega.com/es...me-2-3418.html) related to the Rome 2 CE there is written:
"This item will be released on 09/03/2013 at 00:00 EDT.
As soon as the product is ready for distribution, your order will be shipped."
Also below I can read:
"Play on the day of release!
You'll receive your download links and activation code by email on 09/03/2013 at 00:00 EDT."
If I preorder the Collector's Edition I will be able to play on the release day or I have to wait that the product is ready for distribution.
What does "ready for distribution" means? Based on your experience how many chances there are that the product will be ready for distribution before the release date?

I aksed the same question to the SEGA Customer Service and the Metaboli Customer Service , BUT NO CONCISE ANSWER!!!

Amazon says, they will deliver the game on the 4th.

If you get the activation code at 0000, you will be able to play on the first day, if your internet is fast enough. ^^

Anybody with previous physical edition preorder experience knows if the game is delivered before or on the release date? If I preorder the collector's edition will I still receive an activation code at 00:00 or not?

With Shogun 2, for example, arrived after almost 1 week and I ordered it on the SEGA store.
