Rome Total War Minimizing on Game Load-up (Steam Version)

Hey guys, after an extensive time playing Rome Total war, playing through multiple campaigns both vanilla and modded. I turned my computer on this morning to find Total War messing up when loading up.

I run the game through steam, a black screen comes up and my task-bar at the bottom starts flashing on and off and it'll do that until i press Ctrl+Alt+Del and choose task manager and then it'll load up the first red screen and then go to another black screen but this time in a smaller one in the top left of my screen until i press Ctrl+Alt+Del and choose task manager again and then it'll change the screen to the next one again..

Has anyone came across this before or is there already a thread explaining an answer? ( i has a quick look around and couldn't see my problem anywhere? )

Have you tried to verify the game cache?

I did the check and it says there's nothing wrong but it seems to be alright now.. Silly game.
