Installing 2 instances of Medieval II Total War under Windows 8

Hi,

I have M2TW Kingodms patched to 1.5 installed on my PC with Broken Crescent 2.3 mod.

I would like to install another instance of M2TW vanilla game on my hard drive, but the setup.exe won't let me do it..It wants me to uninstall the existing version first.

How can I do it? I use Windows 8.

You could not do it with XP either. Only one registry entry for the game allowed.

The old way was just like Rome before mod folders, copy the full Medieval II Total War folder, rename it, and put a new mod in it.
