Different "modes" for armies on the campain map to influence deployment and tactics on the battle map.
I am not sure if anyone has posted a thread on this already. But I will go ahead anyway.
I found this information in a german vid, by the german magazine "Gamestar". So the video to which I will post a link is in German, but since I am certainly not the only German member (or German speaking member) others will certainly be able to varify what I post here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4gXSAxlH8-o
The video shows the battle of the Teutoburger forest, which we all have already seen. The information which was new to me and for which I couldnt find any varification for on other sites was about how the armies can be deployed on the campain map and how this has an influence on the battles.
At 1:00 it says that on the campain map armies can be deployed in 3 different modes: Offensive, Defensive and Ambush
Those three modes have an impact on how the battle is then fought: "Offensive" armies have more movement point on the campain map, "Defensive" armies gain bonuses in Defence, And armies in "Ambush" mode can possition their armies throughout the entire battle map before the battle starts and can possition various differen special weapons such as the "flaming balls" shown in the battle preview.
I dont know if these three modes are determined by the campain map terrain or if you can now determin that yourself (which would be awsome)
I hope I didnt post something to which someone has already opened a thread.
