When will you buy Rome 2

When will you buy Rome "

1) Already Brought it - didn't care about anything or the price, but just wanted to get one

2) Considering buying it now, but looking around for best offers

3) will wait just before release - to see all the pre release demos and reviews

4) after release date - perhaps even wait for the price to drop more and patches have come out.

For the record - I have already brought the game - I have faith in CA abilities, they never let me down.

haven't bought it yet, but am planning to do so before the 17th of May. I'm just hoping retail stores in my country (NL) finally put the damn game up so I can pre order a boxed edition. If that doesn't happen before the 17th I'll buy it on GMG.

I mean, I've poured 300 hours in Shogun 2 alone, and at least a 100 more in every other TW title. They really have to screw things up bad for me not to get my money's worth out of it

I just left it as after release and patches.....will you buy it after demo and before release? Than that would be 3 for you.

After the Aliens: CM fiasco and the **** that Koch Media just pulled with Metro: LL... No, not going to encourage that business practice and those shameless greedy companies. Not to mention that TW games tend to be rough on the edges at release.

I'll wait for the patches.

round about 2015 when it is about 10 pounds and fully patched to about 18.2

right now quite a few people are having doubts and keep on referring to CA's past debacle with Shogun 2's release

we haven't really seen anything other than scripted battles and cryptic messages here and there, so our doubts are understandable

were CA to release an UNSCRIPTED battle report or a little campaign map game play then those doubts would be removed and people would trust CA a little more and buy the game right now

i mean its not a big thing to ask for, just record a video of jack and will playing a random battle along with some commentary and there your done

its literally a 15 minute job which requires no scripting, just play a battle and record it so we can see how the REAL system works !!

Empire Total War taught me the wisdom of waiting. Even Medieval 2 was quite a lemon. That was only fun for playing around with mounted knights and such. Once I got past the gloss, the horrible issues CA never fixed never fail to keep bugging me every time. I would fire up the game, play a couple of turns on a new campaign, remember why I stopped playing the last time, and quit the game. I hope Rome 2 would be a more polished Total War game. I hope, if there's going to be ship-to-ship boarding combat again, CA would fix the rubbish pathfinding that causes ships in Shogun 2 to circle endlessly around the ship they are trying to board. I hope there are no more ridiculously overpowered Roman faction or horse archer units. Hence, I'll choose to wait til after release to decide if I should get Rome 2.

Well for £30 quid, am not bothered on the outcome of the game at launch as I have been waiting for R2 for a long time! I am sure the game will be 90% complete with many rough edges to be smoothed out! But that's why there are modders out there on TWC and no doubt there will be many patches to follow from CA after release.

Just happy that we are having a game around classical era to play now as RS2 was the only reason to stick with Rome total war.

just before release, this gives me time to get the 60 bucks needed for the game, and get the pre-order bonus,i'll buy it like September 1st

..... and hopefully we get to see some more stuff about the game these next 3 months

Got a decent deal from Amazon.co.uk who don't charge until dispatch.
I know I will buy anyway, I have faith in CA & even more in our modding community, so I might as well commit early.

Well I have been looking forward to a new Rome game.
I however would like some indepth details on what the game contains.
How diplomacy and the senate are going to work.
Battlefields and the campaign map.
Army size and will reinforcements be allowed.
How are the regions going to work as they seem to be divided.
How the naval thing will work in the campaign.
Apart from those minor details ?

I will buy it as soon as I am given details.
