help!

My game keeps on freezing when i complete the battle i am currently on. I have only had this happen once before but then i just retreated. This time i do not hav the retreat option. I have tried autoending it but that does not work. I have also tried - show_err but it does not reveal anything. the only thing that has been changed is the barracks required to recruit triarri. I am Julii vs. Carthage.

Please help

P.s. Is there a cheat that could get me out of this ie. teleport the general or give him movement points so he can run?

Seems like a bad luck glitch cant do anything about it. And why cant you autoresolve?

Replace the file you edited with the originals - your save game should be fine. Something must be wrong, or you just have good timing for bad luck.

hmmmm this is very depressing for me (last time i quit tw was because of to much stuff like this happenin) i always figured that if i just play the game without to much moding i will have no problems. but then some stupid glitch comes in and ruins it and im atleast 15 - 24 hours of gameplay (about a weak of playing that campaign) but now it looks like im going to have to start a new one im not gona be roman this time waiting for marian sucks.

EDIT : Just got an idea I thought that I once heard of a way to swith who you are playing in the middle of a campaign. So " if " this is possible couldnt i switch to Carthage and stop them from attacking me?

Have a look here. Also Google the line 'pure virtual function call' and you'll get a lot of pages.
It appears to be a programming error.
I reckon re-install.

I don't know what exactly is the problem but adding more system memory helps.
As you advance in the game the more it is wasteing resources. I have seen two instances of this.
1. The game simply brakes, desapires from the sceen and the desktop is shown.
2. The game freezes and the "exclamation" sound is heard. If you press CTRL-ESC you will see the message "pure virtual function call".

You can increase the system memory by adding more RAM modules to the moterboard OR you can simply increase the Virtual Memory.
I usualy double the Virtual Memory and the play until next time it crashes.
And don't forget to save the game...
