That doesn't say that Rome 2 is the best seller on Steam, it just has Rome 2 at the top. of the list when you click on the Top Sellers list.

Though it doesn't mean much other than there was an initial rush of buyers, which honestly is to be expected. Now if it stays there for a week, then I'd be impressed.

If Rome 2, a game still four months from release and is in a comparatively niche genre is selling better than Black Ops 2 and Skyrim then I'm the Queen of Canada and Denmark.

Total war isn't that niche. If EU4 was topping steam, then I would be surprised, but TW is fairly mainstream for strategy games.

Strategy games are still comparatively niche and like it or not CoD is pretty much the biggest name in the industry when it comes to profit.

I have no problem that Call of Duty is profitable, in fact I cheer them on. It just isn't surprising that Rome 2 is selling well on the day pre-orders open, TW games aren't that obscure
