CTD at Launch

Okay so the problem I'm having here is every time I start SS I get an error message. The weird thing though is yesterday (when I first installed) everything was working fine. Yet during that time I was never taken to the regular launcher for Medieval II Total War. I would have put the log under a spoiler but the forums aren't alright with me doing that so it is attached instead.

According the error, I'd boldly suggest a new install - but that'd be too much hazzle.
I'll attach the file, that seems to cause the issue, replace it within your "Medieval II Total War\mods\SS6.3\data\.." folder (and/or rename your old one first too). Assuming you have also SS 6.4 mine and yours should be identically, but something is *uhm* messed up in yours?

I received the same error. Nothing changed with my game other than a new day. Now my SS launcher launches the normal M2 launcher and I get the "M2 has encountered a fatal error" box. I replaced the descr_projectiles file with the one above and same thing....frustrating.

hmm, that's odd. But wasn't there a steam update lately that added some issues as well?

"Now my SS launcher launches the normal M2 launcher and I get the "M2 has encountered a fatal error" box." <- that shouldn't happen, cause the SS launcher is typically linked to the proper *.exe and starts the game directly. So something is severe messed up in your install
Have you tried to run the game directly by using medieval.exe, if at least even this is working?

Oh, one thing comes to my mind, you could try to create a shortcut for SS6.4 by yourself, which just replaces the launcher.
- create a shortcut for kingdoms.exe
- edit the properties for the newly created shortcut
- under the shortcut-tab in 'target' add at the end --features.mod=mods/Ss6.3 so it looks like: "...Medieval II Total War\kingdoms.exe" --features.mod=mods/Ss6.3

Might be worth a try, if the game runs by using at least this....
