A week ago or so I experienced my first HUUUUGE bridge battle in Roma Surrectum 2. Why is this special to me? Hoooly crap, because there can be an unlimited number of units on the battlefield should you choose to. I usually livestream these campaigns, and if it turns out to be interesting I upload these to Youtube as a "let's play" of some sort, this one turned out to be particularily interesting So here's a little backstory to the fight...
In my campaign, Hannibal succeeded (partly) in his mission (I am Carthage). I had Hannibal burn down as many Roman cities as he possibly could, slaughtering tens of thousands of Roman civilians in pure hatred to the Roman people, his goal was one: To cripple Rome as much so as they would fall under the pressure of near barbarian factions and to never again rise as a major powerhouse in Europe. I had Hannibal exterminate and raze Rome, Ariminium, and Arretium.
He came CLOSE to exterminating Capua, but three major Roman legions had by now caught up to his very damaged army, so he was forced to flee back to Carthage. Now; in this battle he had made a return, more powerful than ever and more equipped than ever to finish what he started. His first target: Capua, easily exterminated and razed. As he moved towards Rome a second time, he was met with impossible odds. Three Roman legions at once. The only logical move would be to set-up camp near a bridge, and to rally his troops to a defensive hold of the bridge.
What is shown here is the epic battle that emerged between Hannibal the Great and two full Roman legions. This battle could very well be the most deceisive battle over all of the Roman Peninsula, as Sicily already had fallen along with Syracuse to his loyal Heir and brother.

So basically; I had to..I just HAD to put together something cool for this. I gathered all the footage (from the livestream) and edited together, along with fitting music an "epic battle". It took me 3 hours to edit, with that said it's nowhere near a perfection but I'm pretty okay with it considering the low amount of time spent, and the footage given (litterally live-footage, never recorded with the intention of being used for editing). I also wanted to promote my favorite and by far most superior (in my opinion) mod for Rome: Total War. You can find whatever info I didn't give you on the youtube video's description. And for the love of god...Watch in 720p or 1080p!
